Struggling
Grrr…. I can’t seem to help myself at dinner time!! I eat what ever and however much I want! How do I stop myself????? In the morning and throughout the day I am fine but at dinner time I just eat so much. At my house we usually go for what is easiest or fastest, therefore not so healthy. This week I have pretty much no time to work out. I did a really good workout on Monday then tuesday I did some at home stuff like weights and sit ups but no cardio. Last night I was in a meeting until after 9:00 and tonight I have plans with friends. Of course tomorrow is Halloween so I’ll be busy with the kids all night and then I have a party after all the kid’s stuff. There is just no room!!! But of course there’s plenty of room for eating!! There is food at every event…and not the healthy kind! I need all the encouragement I can get to get through this week!!

I know your pain. The one thing that I have done with supper is to put a serving (or two if my calories will allow it) on my plate. After I eat it I get up and wash dishes right away. OR I get the heck out of the kitchen! The next few days will be tough but I look at it as a way to prepare for the holidays…be strong
The one thing that has helped me with supper is using smaller plates and bowls. I have two toddlers so I started using their plates and bowls. They make you feel like you are eating so much. As far as your next few days always have a bottle of water in your hand so that everytime you feel like grabbing something to eat you can just take a drink. Have fun!!!! You can do it Girl!
I depend on drinking coffee (decaf) if I am still hungry, that seems to work…
Make your suppers super colorful, use small salad plates, and check to see how much protein your getting during the day. If it’s too low, this might be why you’re tempted to eat so much at night.
C’mon now… you CAN do this. May take a little bit of planning and focus, but keep sight of your goal and you WILL get there!
Huggggggggggggs,
Shan
Hey, that’s me you are writing about. I could eat, eat and eat even more in the evenings. Drinking a glass of cold water before my meals seems to help. Makes my stomach feel full before I even start to eat. Chewing a gum (sugar free of course) seems to do the trick too. When I am having a really bad time I keep myself busy. My husband always reminds me on all the hard work I put in on the treadmill and how all the running and pain would be for nothing if I eat more than I should. That keeps me focused (as long as he is around ;)).
I know it is hard, but you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you all!!! I am still going to struggle but you I am so glad you are all here for me!! Encouragement is exactly what I need!!!
The best thing for me is to get my workout done early in the morning before I do anything else. Plus I plan out what I am going to eat for the whole day. Helps me alot!
